GST Return NZ

Hi,

I note that under Reports > GST Return, GST reports can neither be created nor edit an existing return, or delete. I am using latest Manager version. Have “updated” Report Transformations. NZ

Cheers

Sorry but please specify the actual Manager version number as there are many updates even same day.

If I open a GST return in edit mode, I can delete it without any problem. I can also add returns for new periods with out a problem.

If you are referring to editing data in the return, the data in a GST return comes from the underlying accounts. You can click on any of the numbers in the return to see what transactions apply. Change the GST details in the underlying transaction if required. If it were possible, changing numbers in the GST return without changes in the corresponding account transactions would cause inconsistencies in the accounts, especially the GST payable account in the balance sheet, and might also result in a non-complaint return.

Hi,

No, GST return will not open in edit mode, just returns a blank screen.

I can confirm using Manager v21.4.16 Windows 64 desktop
It occurs in both

  • Settings → Report Transformation → < a report transformation > → Edit (showed code it the past)
  • Reports → < a report transformation > → Edit (showed date range in the past)

Fixed in the latest version (21.4.25)

Based on this ‘fix’, I updated to version 21.4.25. Manager installed Ok, but would not open. There was no error message of any kind. The application simply would not open. I have re-booted my computer several times. I have since uninstalled version 21.4.25 and reinstalled version 21.3.75 which now works. I am using the latest version of Windows 10.

Cheers… Richard

current version is 21.4.27
