Generating PDF of Customer Statement crashes Desktop Version

I have settings>Obsolete_Features>Internal_PDF_Generator enabled, using the current Desktop x64 appimage.

Generating PDFs or sending emails works fine with with Sales Invoices but trying the same thing with Customer Statements fails and crashes Manager every time.

Is this a bug that can be fixed?

Obsolete features are not supported by the Developer. As I can not replicate it on Desktop nor Server versions (both work). You can

  1. Download and install again the current version from Manager.io, or
  2. Print to PDF and email using your email application, or
  3. Delve into your operating system and hardware (usage of RAM / Diskspace) that prevents probably more resource hungry reports to complete generation.

I tried again with a fresh appimage and plenty of free memory and disk-space, running Manager from the commandline, so as to see any error messages.

Identical Manager crash this time too, with a commandline error message of:

*** stack smashing detected ***: terminated
Aborted (core dumped)

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on?
