may be a good idea to have the same format as CSV import as the yyyy. is not recognised by any spreadsheet program I have.

Thanks

This occurs for two reasons:

  1. Manager offers more date format options than the spreadsheet program.
  2. Manager exports what you see, which is text. So even if the format was one the spreadsheet recognized, you could still need to format the relevant column of the spreadsheet as dates. Otherwise the spreadsheet might interpret it as text. This will depend the spreadsheet and your preference settings for it.

The solution is to temporarily change your date preference to something your spreadsheet recognizes prior to an export. If the spreadsheet doesn’t recognize the import as dates, reformat the column in the spreadsheet so it will. You can accomplish similar results with global find & replace functions. But in your case, removing decimal points and substituting other characters would corrupt your numbers.

Hi Tut

I thought that my default date format was dd/mm/yyyy, but when I just
checked it was dd.m.yyyy. explaining the ‘odd’ export format. Never seen
this used before esp the yyyy. component and assumed an export error.

Thanks
