Duplicate Logo and company name on receipts and payments

Business details still appearing when there’s no address.

When I deleted my address, the entire business details section in the invoice disappeared as it should.

My point was “…I would spend some effort to change the logo…” @brisali1 made clear that the name of the business was repeated, but the only repetition is that it is part of the logo.

In addiiton I made clear that I suggested some changes in another post to provide business details and this was related to the fact that @Ealfardan was talking about it being empy in this thread.

I did not realize it was an offense to refer to another post on business details. Sorry,

Thank you for the clarification, @eko. It is no offense, and none was taken. I just was not certain whether you were introducing a related topic (which I now understand) or addressing the original issue (which did not make sense to me.)

Only a name appears, but this is substituted from the file name when there is no business name under Business Details. Your description of what happens to you sounds normal.

@eko @Tut @Joe91 @Ealfardan @sharpdrivetek I thank you guys all so much for trying to solve my problem. I really appreciate it. The support on this forum is absolutely first class - always!

But it seems there is no solution to achieve what I want, unless I get into HTML coding (no chance!).

I dont know why/how all the data was zeroed in Business Details (in all three client companies set up), maybe I made a mistake - its highly possible - and not sure I used a backup version, and I do understand the year end just rolls forward, however all that is somewhat irrelevant.

Seems Manager (which I love by the way) cannot accommodate what I want to achieve.

You will see even the Northwind example looks suboptimal (to me anyway), repeating the business name directly under the logo name is redundant and doesnt look so professional.

And Im definitely not an HTML coder, so I guess I will just have to live with it.

Businesses’ logo designs driven by the accounting system formatting is also not an easy customer ‘sell’ to achieve.

Any chance of a future system change to allow a little more flexibility around this area? (Appreciate, to a layman like me, these things sound easy but I understand may indeed be more complex behind the coding scenes.)

Anyway, I thank you all again for all your help, advice, and support. It is very much appreciated, and as I say, it really is a great ‘add on’ to the Manager product.

Very best
Paul

I understand that you do not want the Business Name to appear beside the Date and Reference section, right? That is not hard to accomplish with a small change to a custom theme.

Go to Settings then Themes. View the Plain theme and click the Copy to button and then New Theme. Give the new theme a unique name. (See the Copy and modify a built-in theme section of the Guide if you need help).

Next delete line 27:

Click the Create button at the bottom of the page.

Choosing your custom theme for a form gives this result:

It is even possible to change the business name to a section title such as:

To make the change, modify Line 27 to:

(Note: the modification will only show on a form if you have entered an address in the Business Details section of Settings.)

See, just as I said - best support forum ever! And that’s going over and above @dcVest , thank you!

Im going to give it a go later tonight.

Thanks again team, exceptional support, Manager is worth every penny of its subscription and more!

Best
