Display of checkbox custom field in column view

We use the checkbox custom field in a few places. For most of them it is useful to be able to quickly scan the column for this field when viewing the list of entries containing them. Currently they just display text, either “is checked” or “is not checked”. I think a stronger visual treatment would be a big help for picking up discrepancies. Intuitively I would suggest either a tick (representing “is checked”) or cross (representing “is not checked”) symbol, but I’m open to other ideas. Perhaps a checked and unchecked square is more universal. These would also save space compared to the current text treatment. Colour coding could be an option (also relevant to this topic in the Ideas category).

I know that it’s easy to sort a column, or to use the Advanced Queries to filter entries. However, these require extra steps and a conscious effort to perform them. They might also display entries that are irrelevant for other reasons such as being out of date. I would like something that makes it easy to notice discrepancies when I am viewing the entries for other reasons without necessarily taking the deliberate step to look for them.

Might we be able to add this to Ideas, or are there good reasons it would not be desirable?

Good idea! This idea saves also space on the screen.
