Date choice not available in summary edit screen

When I go to the summary screen and enter the edit function, there are no date fields, and I can’t select the period for the summary. Transactions in the accounts are from 1/7/17/ to today. I have searched the forum and the help, but can’t find an answer. This only occurs on one business, the other businesses I have on Manager are not affected.
I am using the latest version,.
Hope someone can help, it is a puzzle to me.
