Creating a custom theme

Hello all. I’m new to Manager, and I’m seeking some advice.

I have created a custom theme, which includes a text block at the end of sales invoices.

I managed to do this by trial and error, which involved converting the text from a word doc, saving as a html file, and copy/paste onto the bottom of the custom theme sheet.

Works…sort of. When I create a new sales invoice, all of the html text is in it’s proper place on the invoice (although it is doing weird things with lower case l since updating it).

If I ask Manager to output to a pdf…all of the additional text disappears.
I work around this by asking it to print to pdf, which works fine.

I’m not a coder at all, but was wondering if anyone could provide a little advice, or point me to some self help references, so that I can create the custom theme properly, instead of having to use a work around?

Regards
Michael

I suspect your problem may be that Manager’s PDF generator will not split the text block. So if the text extends past the page end, it is skipped.

Is this text in a custom field, or hard coded into the theme? The former is probably a better approach.

Awesome! Fixed the problems altogether…not sure what the issue was with the pdf generator, as the text did not extend over the page.

It was hardcoded into the theme, but by removing it and pasting in as a custom field, the issues have resolved.

Is there any way to automatically add this block of text in the custom field box for every new invoice?
