Clones of Journal Entries do not follow Form Default for reference number

When cloning Journal entry the reference number is cloned also. This is inconsistent with what happens when cloning other transactions.

Desktop version 21.3.61

@AJD In the meantime, clicking on the Automatic Reference box will delete the cloned number and generate a new number when you Create the new entry.

Thanks @Syed_Salman_Ali that is a quick and simple way to generate the next consecutive number.

I still think this needs to be fixed as it is easy to overlook the need to change the reference resulting in duplicated journal numbers, as well as the inconsistency with the operation of cloning in other areas of the program.

I can duplicate this. It’s a bug, and I am moving the topic to the bugs category. Clones are supposed to exactly replicate the parent transaction, with the exception of the reference number, which is supposed to follow whatever you have set under Form Defaults. I am also editing the subject to better reflect the problem.
