After updating inventory, can a direct sales invoice for a customer be made that would reduce inventory and update payment?
Ok so what you need to do is create sales invoices
.
If you use inventory
then you can link the sales invoice
to the inventory item
bought.
That will mean when you create the sales invoice
inventory will be reduced.
Now to record a payment you will need to use a receipt
.
You link that with the sales invoice
through the sales invoice number
.
If you are running a store for example and a customer walks in
and buys something, and pays you on the spot.
Then you will make only a receipt
linking that with the inventory item
that was bought.
I hope this answers your question!
Many thanks M. Your last paragraph is where im at, but having done that, the customer account is still showing as “UNPAID”
That seems like you created a Sales Invoice AND recorded a cash sale using a Receipt transaction
You shouldn’t do both as this records the the sale twice and doesn’t reduce the customer balance
Please show the EDIT screens of your transactions
This would seem true as I did.
what’s the best way to record the transaction?.
Many thanks Joe91
