Thank you so much @lubos, it is fixed!
What about Windows? I have made a clean installation for server, in windows 7 ultimate, but copy to clipboard is not working
@pandhm is this with WebView2 runtime
installed or without? When you launch Manager it will prompt you to install WebView2 runtime
if you don’t have it.
@lubos I am talking about Manager Server. Is not asking for nothing when you copy files of the server in a specific directory
Dear @lubos, I can confirm that copy to clipboard on server edition (21.1.12) doesn’t work anymore both under Chrome and under Edge for Windows 10 with everything up to date. If you click nothing happen.
Please solve it quickly because it is a quite hindering with our way of work, particularly in this period of the year.
It works on Server edition 21.1.11 from Linux desktop if that is of any help.
It doesn’t work under Linux Server 21.1.12 and we cannot revert back.
But not from Windows 7
I’m not able to reproduce this issue. Since this is web-browser issue, can you view javascript console (usually F12) while pressing Copy to clipboard
button to see if you get any Javascript error?
My employers are in the process of switching from QBO to Manager, and I’m having the exact same issue and javascript error as Davide.
We’re using the server version, and I use Chrome.
Clipboard API which Manager is using works in modern web-browsers only when page is served through https protocol. The only exception is when running server edition locally and accessing Manager through localhost. This is why the issue is not on desktop edition (it’s always localhost access) or cloud edition where https protocol is enforced.
So do we have to enable https compulsory also under a vpn?
@Davide yes. Modern web-browsers are only assessing whether connection is through http or https protocol.
This is out of my hands. It’s part of the general push for everything being on https.
and the mystery solved
indeed it works for server edition under localhost, but not from any other pc
Probably appropriate for internet access to an accounting server.
Rather annoying for a local intranet server as if http traffic is being intercepted in a local network, there are greater problems than accessing Manager.
Maybe the server setup guide will need to be updated.
Either that or entering an exception for the local Manager server in the web browser. I wonder if all web browsers do this now or if the behaviour is configurable.
Thanks @lubos. I’ve solved it by installing a TTL certificate under my reverse proxy to manager. But now I have another bug… Manager copies data, but when I paste it in Excel, it is completely without formatting.
As it should be. It is copied in TSV format. Several months ago, that was changed from HTML.
Sorry. As you may have noticed I wasn’t present in the forum for some month.
@Davide, can you help me to do the same?
