Bank rules not available on statement import

Just started using Manager after a hiatus of about a year. I installed the latest version over my older one and noticed a few changes. The biggest one seems to be that when I import bank account data I am no longer given a screen for bank rules. I am not shown the existing rules which will be applied or given the chance to create a new rule for an unidentified transaction. I really don’t want to have to manually create rules for hundreds of transactions :frowning:

Happens with bank accounts already existing and with new ones created from scratch.

Is this a bug or intentional removal of the feature?
Any solutions to this, If it is not a feature removal?

Using Manager Version 22.12.19.558

The categorization screen is now moved under Bank and Cash Accounts > Uncategorized Receipts and Uncategorized Payments and it works as usual.

The Receipt Rules and Payment Rules can now be located under Settings > Bank Rules

I can’t exactly remember if or when there has been a change, but this is probably due to the splitting of Receipts and Payments tab.

Please read the guides first, if no answer search the forum and if no topic create a new one. The answer as provided by @Ealfardan is in Import bank statements | Manager

Apologies if I cluttered the posts unnecessarily.
I did search and didn’t find anything related.
Didn’t read the guides as I was already familiar with the process but as I stated I didn’t realise things had changed so much between versions. Now that I know there are functional changes, I will be sure to check the guides.

  1. the link to the guide is broken.

  2. there is no uncategorized receipt option under cash accounts

The complete answer is: in you cash account → click on “edit columns” at bottom of page → tick uncategorized options.

Why this is unticked as default is beyond understanding, but there you have it.

Sorry, at the time of posting December 2022 it was correct. The links to the old guides are having www2 instead of www in the hyperlink. This is now corrected the link is Import bank statements | Manager

The topic you post to is related to import of bank statements, not display of bank or cash accounts.

No it isn’t. And I fixed your vague answer for the OP above. Your welcome
