Hi guys,
Having tried to run manager on mint 21.2 ended with this naughty thing

it also contains execv error that I experienced in Tuxedo.

This is attributed only to Manager v23.11.26.1171.
I don’t have any issues with Managers of 23.4 or 22.

any gentle solutions?

I am using mint 21.2 with Manager version 23.11.26.1171 … it runs perfectly either via Terminal or Gear Lever on a vanila mint 21.2 install for me so maybe you have ‘tweaked’ your mint 21.2 install in some way

I usually don’t do that. Also, I don’t have any problems running older versions of program, this affects only the latest package, so that could be problems with how libraries are accessed.

Did you try to reinstall Cinnamon, if not this may fix the issue.

sudo apt-get install cinnamon
sudo reboot

I’ve found the solution that worked for me, here is a link:

New appimage updates not working

sudo apt remove appimagelauncher I use Linux Mint and experienced the same issues. Simply removing appimagelauncherd completely resolved it for me. AppImageLauncher appears to be somewhat unmaintained. I found installing the flatpak “Gear lever” works so much better, including not having to manually remove previous appimage apps all the time.
