App Crashing (Help)

Hello,

I havent had any major issue with manager IO previousely until i updated the app to the version: 24.4.8.1419
Eversince it is constantly closing alone and giving this error:

As indicated in the Forum’s FAQ/Rules, you should always update before posting an error:

Manager advances very quickly, simplifying and adding features and capabilities. Sometimes, bugs occur with new releases. But these are usually fixed rapidly, often within minutes. So if you encounter a problem with the desktop or server editions, update Manager, even if you recently did. (The cloud edition is always up to date.) You can check the latest version at https://www.manager.io/desktop/download/ .

Manager’s version as of the time of writing this is 24.4.17.1441. So try with this current version.

one more thing please, to update the app shall. go to official website and download or is there somwehere on the app to update?

Yes, there is no automatic update function. If you want to be up-to-date then you need to subscribe to the Cloud version, which always is the latest. Otherwise update whenever you can by downloading and installing.

I updated the app yesterfay, eveything seemed fine, toda it started crashing again with this error:

Unless this can be reproduced by more users, then it is something specific to do with your computer rather than being a general issue.

Also, if you are using Mac with M1/M2/M3 CPU, then try to download and run ARM64 build of Manager.

ARM64 build avoids virtualization for X64-64 apps which is where this crashing could be coming from.

  1. You must use https://www.manager.io/download and download the required file. Note that Manager requires Mac OS X 12 or newer (your earlier report showed OS Version: macOS 14.4.1 so should be ok)

  2. Once downloaded click on Manager.dmg and drag and drop the Manager icon to the applications folder (see screenshot). Click REPLACE the old file (do not keep copy of the old one).

  1. Open Manager from the applications folder

  2. Import the businesse(s) from your backup
