Hello
I use the desktop edition of Manager. I have installed from a .msi file and was working fine.
I use my Windows PC with a standard user account (not admin account) and the app was installed in “c:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Manager” folder and everything working correctly.
I could start the app from start menu (shortcut) and by double clicking a .manager file stored in other folders.
Yesterday i update Manager with the new .msix file and everythink is wrong…
When i choose to install the app the installation proccess finish without errors and the installation app ask me if i want to launch the Manager app. I choose yes and Manager startup correctly and i was able to open my files stored in the standard Manager Data folder.
After i shutdown the Manager app it was not possible to start it again.
The shortcut in startup menu is not working.
I try to find the executable to launch it myself but because is stored in "c:\Program Files\WindowsApps" folder i was not able to enter because windows asks for admin credentials … after i gave the admin credentials and tried to launch the “c:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Manager … desktop.exe” file i got an error relative to persmissions …
I choose to Uninstall the latest version and install again the previous working one and now i can’t open the files that i have open with the new version during first startup of the App.
Can you please help me.
Thank you for the fast anwser.
My Windows is Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2, OS Build 19045.4894, Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0
I Rename the .msix to zip → I extract the zip to a local folder and i run ManagerDesktop.exe
The program run an install proccess and finished with a small (switch to …) error.
I run the ManagerDesktop again from the same folder and the program starts correctly.
I doubleclick .Manager file (in other folder) and i choose manually the same .exe and the program open correctly the desired file.
The only thing not working is the windows shortcut … but is not a problem if i can startup the app through the .exe file.
Last question (and thank you very much in advance).
I will use the program like a portable program OK? When a new version come out i just overwrite the contens of the “install” folder?
Thank again…!!!
