I installed the free desktop version of Manager but I don’t have a desktop shortcut or taskbar icon to start it.
So I then try and find the exe file to create a shortcut, but I cannot find the program folder anywhere.
It’s nowhere to be seen in Programs.
It’s nowhere to be seen in C:\Users\manca\AppData\Roaming
So I try to re-install using the install file so that I can see where the installation folder will be, but the re-install happens as quick as a flash with no install location displayed.
I then try and uninstall via the Windows uninstaller but cannot find Manager listed. It’s like this program is hidden malware. Am I missing something.
Just have to figure out now how to get into the WindowsApps folder. It’s greyed out and does nothing when I try to open it.
Also tried accessing the install folder by starting manager then going to Task Manager, right clicking on Manager, and click on file location, but it’s also greyed out and not accessible.
I don’t think that you will have access to that folder unfortunately, I tried to access it and could not.
Windows apparently does not give users permission to look at some folders, and this is one of them.
Had the same problem.
From Googling about that folder it’s like a file sandbox for security. I think there are ways to access it but many forum posters said it should not be done for security reasons.
I managed to create a taskbar icon/shortcut for Manager but could not find a way to get a desktop shortcut. The installer does not give an option to create one, which I found rather unusual.
Thanks Manager_User. However, in my last post I mentioned I’d already managed (no pun intended LOL) to get a task bar icon/shortcut.
Just can’t find a way to make a desktop shortcut.
Wornout, I’m sorry but you completely lost me with what you said. Changed what file to .zip, and pointed what icon to what file.
