The latest version (25.9.28) finally includes dark mode. There are still quite a few visual issues but I think it’s good enough without being too annoying. For example, some colors have incorrect shade or are too saturated or might be completely wrong. I will continue improving this. The goal is to make dark mode just as good as light mode. Both will get equal attention.
To enable dark mode, click the icon in the top-right corner
This will instantly turn your user interface to dark mode:
Hi @lubos, I tried the Dark Mode for Desktop Edition version 25.9.28.2840. Currently, for Text Custom Fields with the Drop-down List type. The font color is already in dark mode, but the box remains in a light color. Thus, the text in the drop-down box is not clearly visible.

For those who prefer dark mode, any dark mode is infinitely better than any light mode.
I know I’m nitpicking, but the active highlight on Businesses looks a bit blurry. I think the shadow here should be lighter to make it look crisper:

I think it has something to do with me zooming in and out
Turns out this happens on minimized windows and zoom value changes the position

I have downloaded version 25.9.28 and it does not display a moon icon. is this only available for the online version? Also, your image shows the icons that are in the left-hand corner on the desktop version?
I think the case is similar to what our friend @Ealfardan experienced in this post. Perhaps you could check if the desktop application is minimized. Try maximizing the window or adjusting the zoom value.
Are you referring to the Cloud version? At the beginning of this thread (1st post), Lubos provided information that the dark mode is currently only available in the desktop/server edition.
In that case, it means the dark mode is not yet available in the Cloud edition. Therefore, if you are using the desktop/server edition, the dark mode switch should be available.
Yes, the switch (moon icon) is located at the lower left corner of the screen. I tried on both the Desktop and Server Editions as well.
Actually the reason for topbar to be kind of elevated is because in desktop edition it was sticking to the top even during scrolling. This was because topbar used to have back button.
But this is no longer necessary because new Electron app functions similarly to web-browser with its own navigation buttons.
This means topbar can be a lot simpler now which I made in the latest version (25.9.29.2844)

Thank you, switching to full-screen mode does, in fact, reveal the moon icon in the left corner. However, this seems to cause display problems with other options, such as invoices. They appear in an elongated, truncated version, rather than a full-screen

Seems like those icons in bottom-right corner are sometime not visible completely. In the latest version (25.9.30) I’ve moved them all to more logical locations.
Dark/light mode switch is now in top-right corner:
Compact mode icon is in breadcrumb:
Obscure mode icon is also in breadcrumb but on the other side:
We have also space in top-left corner so I’ve created new icon there to switch between languages. This seems more logical location too because if language was never set, then perhaps the icon can be pulsating until it’s used so that new users can easily discover where to configure a language.
Dark Theme looks beautiful but not working with Custom Theme checked on two different browser. it shrink the document
