I entered a Journal Entry debiting the expense accounts I required and crediting the A/P . However the A/P figure showed up under the Equity section under Suspense . The JE was in balance . Am I doing something wrong?
Accounts payable
requires you to designate a purchase invoice number. Did you do that? If not, Manager can’t associate the transaction with the right supplier’s subaccount.

You can’t “create” Accounts Payable transactions by using Journal, you must use Purchase Invoice. Journals can only be used to amend an existing Accounts Payable transaction
