I have imported my bank statement to bring my account up to date (only the second import since using Manager) however the balance is different to the balance in my actual bank account.
What am I doing wrong?

@Tinaks, you will have much more luck if you perform a bank reconciliation. See the Guide: Reconcile bank accounts | Manager. No one will be able to offer you any help, because no one can see the transactions you have entered; nor can we see your bank statement.

The first screenshot indicates that you have 178 Uncategorized Receipts and 172 Uncategorized Payments. You need to click on the numbers and start allocating them to the respective accounts. Then you need to follow @Tut’s advise re bank reconciliation to trap any possible discrepancy between the imported statements and whatever else you have in your accounts.

but it makes no sense that the figures are different when I’ve literally exported from the opening of my account for my business to 24 October 2021, then now a second time from that date to the current. The amount in my account should be exactly the same whether the amounts have been allocated to income/expenditure or not …
@Tinaks, there are dozens of reasons those numbers might not match. Rather than claim it makes no sense, you need to perform the reconciliation. Believe me, Manager performs correctly based on the inputs you have provided. So you have either made one or more errors or you are comparing the wrong things.
