VAT Calculation Worksheet broken again

I have updated to version 22.1.94. I have no localisations or Report Transformations or whatever we are using now. My business details says United Kingdom which is correct. So it gets my country correct.

However, when I try to create a new report for 1st Jan 200 to 31st March 2022, after clicking create the screen flashes for a second and takes me back to the Summary page. Going back to VAT Calculation Worksheet Reports shows that the new report is not being created. So I can currently view existing VAT Returns but cannot create new ones.

I can’t see anything in settings to fix this issue as report transformations is gone and Localisation does not show up there.

I suspect this is related to user permissions. As a test, can you see if it works on desktop edition or when logged in as administrator ?

This is on purpose. If you select country under Business Details, then you won’t see localization “building blocks” under Settings.

I am logged on as admin for Server edition Just tried in desktop Manager. Same result. I don’t know what the problem is, but definitely not a permissions issue as desktop obviously doesn’t have permissions.

Is this happening in specific business only or any business? Can you create new business and see if you can still reproduce the issue?

I created a brand new business. That seems to work. One thing that I noticed that was different in the new business was the option to see cash or accrual. But my usual business is not seeing that option for some reason - always used to.

Not sure how this happened but here is the solution:

  1. Unselect country in Business Details
  2. Go to Settings, then Report Tranformations
  3. Delete all rows on this screen
  4. Go back to Business Details and select your country again.

This will fix the issue.

I tried that. But there is nothing in Report Transformation. Completely blank. Removing Country and updating then re-adding Country has no affect unfortunately. It still will not show accrual or cash which is I think the reason why the report creation is failing.

I created a test budget profit and loss. This works to create report and I am seeing the accrual or cash option. So it looks like only the Vat Calculation worksheet is the issue.

Could it be a permissions issue that was set in the server version and thus imported into the desktop version? However, the admin has full access, so that cant be the problem.

Please try version the latest version (22.1.96)

That works in the desktop version. Thank you. I will check the Server version later.

Now managed to update the server version.

Have updated Server version and this works correctly as well. So whatever the problem was, the update fixed it.
