@lubos kindly include user permissions for inventory location. I ask because I have observed that my sales people from different locations/brunches even wharehouse managers are stealing from each other just by choosing another location when making a sales invoice, purchase invoice, Goods Received Note, Delivery Note or even inventory transfers. Many shortages in these location because of this issue. This was picked from the history search.
If the developer decides to do this, it may take a while. Most features are not implemented immediately and this sounds like a current issue.
As an immediate solution you may be better off providing training to your sales people and warehouse managers, alerting them to the problems it is causing and requesting that they not do so.
Nobody asked for an immidiate course of action. The forum is here to bring any problem to the attention of the programmer in order to make this system better. I am very aware that so many issues are pending to be acted upon as i am quiet old on this platform but that does not mean new issues can not be raised. If we do not have any solutions to peoples problems or better still anything sensible to contribute, its better we just keep quiet. This post was not addressed to you and I am not sure you have the right to speak on behalf of the programmer as you have no shield against your name. Please dont shut us up like that. Very direspectful indeed.
This has been requested and talked about on the forum. It is in the Ideas category
Implementation of Location Restriction is critical for smooth running of stores and divisions.
Thanks @Abeiku
We disagree. Two solutions were discussed.
Imo it is appropriate for forum users to suggest solutions to problems despite some users not liking the proposed solution.
@Mule1 you may have misread @ShaneAU’s intent.
He only provided a temporary workaround because it might take a while for this to get implemented.
@ShaneAU never opposed your idea or even made anything that could be understood as disrespectful, not even remotely.
I’m not speaking on his behalf here, but you shouldn’t infer poor intent from your first interaction with people. You should always take your first interactions with goodwill.
My mistake - this was not my intention at all and I’d like to apologise if something that I wrote sounded like I was attempting to shut you down or discredit your idea. I feel like there’s a misunderstanding here.
@ShaneAU i appologise, I might have missunderstood the intent. No heart fillings. I appreciate your response.
