I am having challenge with uploading bank statement, there is a message that says the csv is missing the ‘‘Date’’ column. I have changed the preferences but the message remains. Is there anything I am missing, it used to work perfect previously.
First, if your bank offers any other statement format besides CSV, try that. As this Guide says, CSV is the most problematic: Manager Cloud.
Second, you say you changed preferences, but were not specific. Did you change your date preference to exactly match the format in the bank statement? Manager assumes the imported statement is matching your preference. So it cannot interpret anything else. This means exact similarity of separator characters, number of digits, and order of days, months, and years.
Third, when you say it used to work, when was this? Did you update your software since the last time you used it?
The problem may be with the format of the date cells in the Excel spreadsheet. I’m not sure exactly what Manager expects. But it might be looking for text strings that it converts to dates itself. The dates from Excel could be in Excels serial date format (that’s how Excel stores dates, starting at day 1 sometime in the past.) Excel converts those to the formats you see on your display, but may be exporting something different.
So experiment with different formats for the date cells.
