Is there any chance Northwind sample file will be updated?
i think it would help if the checking account got moved to bank accounts and not cash accounts so it doesn’t confuse others.
it would be great if invoices/purchase invoices with tax were added, if a asset-building was included and there was a mortgage/loan set up.
The sample file would then be a bit more complete.

Those are all great examples of things you can do yourself to learn about the program. The Northwind example is not meant to illustrate everything the program does, or there would be dozens more things to add to your list. Its main purpose is to give you a database of customers, suppliers, inventory items, and sales and purchase transactions so you can immediately begin experimenting.
