Transfer customer data only from one company to another

How do I transfer customer data only from one company to another?

Option 1

  • Backup business data file
  • Restore business data file
  • rename restored business data file
  • Batch delete everything you don’t want
  • Backup business file without history
  • Restore 2nd backup and rename it

Option 2

  • Create a new business
  • Start a Batch create customer data in new business (copy headings to clipboard)
  • Open old business file in a new window / tab
  • Start Batch update customer data in old business including copy to clipboard
  • Change back to your new business
  • Paste in the data saved from batch update (you may need to not include the “Key” column)
