Tax Invoice summary view

Hi, I am wondering how I can make the item description within the invoice to show on the summary view of the Tax Invoices.
Currently it shows everything I need except that it shows the custom field that I have set up for Bank Details which I don’t need to see on the summary view.

What are you referring to as the “summary view of the Tax Invoices?” There is no such thing in Manager. Please use the same terminology as the program.

Apologies, I mean the view on the sales invoices tab that lists the invoices.

You cannot. Only the transaction level Description will show (if any are present). Think about it. Suppose you have 20 line items on a sales invoice. Which would the program choose to show?

Edit the custom field in the Settings tab and uncheck the box to show the custom field as a column:

The purpose of that checkbox is to make the field show on the tab listing.

Thanks very much for that, I was hoping it would show just the first line to be able to identify the contents of the invoice to make it easy to choose which one to duplicate to create a new invoice.
Thanks for telling me how to remove the custom field.

If the first line description on your invoices serves as identification, why not put in the invoice description which does appear in the Sales Invoices list?

Thanks Joe, I wasn’t using the first line description as the information doubles up in the invoice description but that is the simple solution that I will be using and modifying the wording to avoid clutter and doubling up.
