Sub accounts for expenses in PNL

Is it possible to split an expense account in PNL into say 3 expense types.
E,g, Motor vehicle main account = petrol + installments + repairs. So that I can see full petrol say spend is

That is one way to do it. You can also make groups that are subgroups of higher level groups. Having motor vehicle expenses as a main group would be fairly unusual.

Your way is exactly what I want to do but dont know the actual spets I must do on manager.

To make a subgroup, define a new group, assigning it to another group. The new group automatically becomes a subgroup. In @VACUUMDOG’s example, the top level group is Expenses. Motor Vehicle Expenses is a group assigned to Expenses. Fuel, Oil etc is an account assigned to the Motor Vehicle Expenses subgroup.

This will all become obvious if you try it. The options are progressively revealed as you adjust your chart of accounts.
