Sub account and sub item

I’d like Manager to support true subaccounts and subitems—i.e., the ability to post to nested accounts/items under a parent, and to report at either the parent or child level.

My use case

  • Parent: Work in progress (Balance Sheet)

  • Children: WIP – Materials, WIP – Wages, WIP – Expenses
    I want to:

  • Post transactions directly to any of the three WIP child accounts.

  • Optionally report only the parent total (Work in progress) on some reports, while still being able to expand to the children when needed.

Use the “Groups to Collapse” in report definition.

Thanks but The control account WIP is not available when i use inventory write off for allocation materials.

You don’t write transactions to the control account but to one of the accounts linked to the control account
