SKU as inventory item code

Hello,

Is to use a same item code for identical items only from different receiving lots is good idea? I have already read in the forum and in the descriptions. I am interested in the opinion of those who have practical experience. The point is that, let’s say, the same product is received from the manufacturer every time, only at different purchase prices and on different purchase dates. If those items are registered with the same SKU code only on different dates, won’t those items duplicate and make it difficult to find the items in the general inventory list? I once used SAP. After entering the SKU code there, a complete list of products with the same code is displayed, only with different receipt dates and prices. I ask because I want to insure against possible mistakes in the future.

Manager does not offer any Lot management features

All items with the same code are considered identical

In the descriptions, “manager” says the same thing. And is it possible to filter such goods according to the date of receipt and prices?
