@lubos I have found a free STP software with unlimited employees that integrates with MYOB and Xero and a super clearing house. Not sure if this is something that may work with Manager. The software is Payroller. https://payroller.com.au.

Hello, I tried what was suggested here and found that Payroller which is free is easier to work and operate for businesses with 4 or less employees. The single Touch Payroll which manager suggests to use is only free for 27 transactions/submissions. It is also not friendly whereas payroller.com.au is just a simple payroll program and can be set up in less than 10 minutes and you can do a pay run in another couple of minutes. It is also accepted by the ATO. No need to worry about Comma Separate…

What if you have different pay periods for different employees?

Manager doesn’t really support this as the csv file it creates is for all of your employees every time. The down side of this is you pay for more pay events with the STP data interface supplier.

I don’t think it’s a problem with the ATO as the file which is uploaded contains the total amount you paid to all your employees during the current pay week/fortnight/month. All individual employee records are only total this financial year, sending them again when they have not been paid will just resend the current data (which is correct as they have received no new pay since you last sent information).

Other software supports ato sbr and stp via a machine credential (issued by ato authorisation manager). Could the add-on framework be extended so someone could build this integration as an add-on? Or integrate with a service like payroller via add-on?

I’ve been manually entering STP via Payroller, but having a read here, I can see that there is a better way. I tried to follow the Guide for installing the Single Touch Payroll Worksheet https://www.manager.io/localizations/au/07332ba33e824dc194511350f5d84e24

However, when I go to Settings/Import, the only option I have is to “Select file from your computer”. Clicking Browse takes me to my File Manager. Nowhere can I see Australia as an option.

Any suggestions?

Also, how cumbersome is the process to export the info to separate STP software?

That’s because the newer versions come with “batteries included” which means localizations are part of the program now (not something to be downloaded separately). So just upgrade to the latest version and try again.
