Is there a way I can generate a single invoice clubbing together multiple delivery notes???
For eg. Goods are supplied throughout the month using only delivery note for each supply. These delivery notes are then clubbed together at the end of the month to issue a single invoice to the customer.
You cannot copy multiple delivery notes to a single sales invoice, if that is what you are asking. But you can definitely include line items from multiple delivery notes on the same sales invoice. You can do this by generating the sales invoice from scratch or by copying one delivery note and adding line items from the others. Manager really does not care which delivery note lines up with which sales invoice. The program does, however, keep track of how many inventory items have been delivered and sold to a customer. (Drill down on the various quantities in the Inventory Items listing to see what I mean.)
Further to your suggestion “copying one delivery note and adding line items from the others” – If I have issued delivery note for eg. ‘Item B’, so that item would be deducted from the inventory. Now if I generate a sales invoice and add in line item ‘Item B’, won’t it deduct the item from inventory again, thus making a double deduction for the same transaction (once via delivery note & once via sales invoice)??
This is not a problem. When you activate the Delivery Notes tab, Manager integrates all functions and segregates inventory items into more categories. With both Delivery Notes and Goods Receipts activated, you get all these:
For complete information and an illustrated example, read the Guides on how to manage inventory. In particular, see Manager Cloud. (You will need to read the first in the series to understand the example, though.)
Nay, when you have both Sales Invoices & Delivery Note tabs activated, Inventory quantities is only adjusted by Delivery Notes and Sales Invoices only adjusts Delivery Note quantities so the workflow is - from Inventory to Delivery Notes to Sales Invoices
So combining several Delivery Notes of the same product on to a single Sales Invoice just changes the quantities under Delivery Notes. Cloning the first Delivery Note and then adding line items for the other Delivery Notes is just substitution for “clubbing together multiple delivery notes”
