What are the chances of having a beta section in the forum?
This would allow upcoming releases to be thoroughly tested by users before they’re officially launched.
Alternatively, could we implement a feature that allows us to rollback to previous stable versions if we encounter an error during the update process?

Hello,
You mean a Beta release option in the download page.
This would require the Cloud and Desktop Editions to lag behind the actual current version unless the user manually updates.
Personally, I think this is a great idea, however, this has been discussed before and the idea was dropped on the premise that sometimes hundreds of versions are released in a single month — which has some merit.
Even though most users wouldn’t care to do any testing, there could be some beta testers in the community that could help debug beta versions before they are released.
For production bug fixes, the developer usually mentions the version of the fix so the user can update manually.
I think this is a great idea that requires minimal development. It should just lag the current version and give Cloud users a button to force a beta version and for Desktop and Server, they can use the Beta download webpage.
What do you think? @lubos
Yes, this is what I meant, even if there are some difficulties in the application or that users too busy providing feedback on the experience of new updates, but at least some users will provide constructive criticism.
The main problem lies with Cloud users who do not have the authority to roll back to previous versions and are forced to deal with the new version with all its problems.
As you can see, it’s day two since the current update has been released and it caused a glitch for many users, and this glitch may result in fines for users in Saudi Arabia due to violating E-invoicing regulations.
So at least a mechanism should be put in place to revert to the previous version until the problems of the new updates are fixed.
