Do you get any error?
Thank you for the reply. Nothing, no error. It does the quick little circle loader icon on the email or pdf button when it’s clicked, but nothing happens. Do not know if it is relevant, but I am running the trial and it’s running as a service, not the console.
You need to install chrome on your server to make it work.
I will add some explanation if chrome is not found. I’ll wait for others to confirm it does work for users with chrome on server installed.
No problem, I’ll wait as well. I’m doing all my tests directly on my laptop, which is the server at the moment.
For me it started working right after installing headless chrome.
Just came across this looking for answers. I use 25.8.3.2541 on a headless raspberry pi.
Have installed a chromium and dependencies with no luck.
PDF conversion fails as per video, and selecting PDF takes me back to login.
Any help would be appreciated.
My next step is to format and start again with my backup file, or worst case i may have to bite the bullet and pay the piper for the cloud based option.
Your manager version is from August. Use latest version 25.10.20.3008
That is my next step, just unusual within the space of 2 hours, it goes from functional to non-functional.
I tried running headless mode now, and used the screenshot method to check if it is going to the correct place, it goes to the login page of Manager. (& “C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” ` --headless --disable-gpu ` --screenshot=“C:\Users\Johnny\Desktop\test.png” ` http://myip:5000) Unfortunately still no luck. When opening Manager at myip I log in and go to an existing quote and try the PDF and EMAIL buttons, still just do nothing. (The email SMTP tests do succeed)
Is working now, with no update..
I use the evaluation version, accessing https://server.manager.io/buy didnt load.. until now.
I’d say it didnt have communication with the license server, hence errors.
Can confirm all OK, still using 25.8.3.2541
Hi,
Thank you for all the help, I’ve updated Manager Server to V25.10.20.3008 running on an Intel Mac OSx V 12.7.6
Server loads perfectly and all appears to be running correctly.
I’ve logged into Server from both Mac’s running Safari & Chorme and I am still getting no response when you click either the PDF or email buttons nothing happens.
No errors show up.
Thanks for all the help.
Good morning, all. Just upgraded to 25.10.21.3011, but unfortunately no difference. I have tried running using the normal console mode again (not as a service) to try and see any errors. It shows a “fail” and it seems to be related to playwright, but I’m not familiar with it.
Edit: I see playwright is something to do with the headless chrome required for this. I tried running the .exe file as Administrator and it now gives me an error inside manager. Attached, hope it’s nice and legible.
Hi,
Just to check I downloaded the desktop edition to see if the same problem is happening and the desktop edition has no issues with e-mailing or PDF settings.
I also updated my server to 25.10.21.3012 and the email & PDF issue is still happening.
@ckeoghan but something should be different now. Do you see any error?
My observations are the same with there “appearing” to be no actions taking place when clicking either the PDF/Email button.
There appears to be no movement in the status log of the launcher when clicking either button too.
Clicking the PDF button does show a JS error in the console:
pdf.js?version=25.10.20.3008:33 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘digest’)
at sha256Hex (pdf.js?version=25.10.20.3008:33:38)
at getBlob (pdf.js?version=25.10.20.3008:52:23)
at async getPdf (pdf.js?version=25.10.20.3008:84:22)
Manager version: 25.10.21.3013
Server: Windows server 2012
Client: Windows10, Chrome 141.0.7390.108
@lubos I don’t see any error, I’ve taken a screen shot of the process for you, just in case you can see something I can’t.
I ran the screen video of both Manger S
erver terminal screen and the Web interface simultaneously.
If you want a copy I can send you a link.
I hope it helps, and thank you for all your work.
Hi,
Just following up, any luck with the e-mail/PDF Issues?
I have just up dated to server version V25.10.29.3062 and the problem is still persisting.
I checked by inspecting the element in Safari and when I click on the e-mail button it is showing in the elements as being disabled please see attached screenshots.
Thank you once again for any help in resolving this issue.
@ckeoghan focus on PDF button first because there are less moving parts involved. Manager Server requires Chromium to generate PDFs. The latest version will offer to install it automatically when PDF button is pressed.
Hi.
Just tested with latest version, PDF not working. If I run Manager as Administrator on Windows, I get the following error when clicking the PDF button:
<h1>Internal Error</h1><hr />Manager 25.10.29.3062<hr /><pre>System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
