it seems to QR not supported when exporting to PDF “pdf button”
only save as pdf from print dialog

Support for the PDF button has been removed - it is no longer the official manner to produce a pdf

Great! got the QR code on the invoice. but unable to activate bilingual header as required.

will you please guide to activate bilingual options for company name / headers like name, description, value and others…

These is part of localization using the default theme such as Saudi Arabia and works fine where localization has been implemented and where such bilingual header is needed.

Dear Lobos
Is it possible for the invoice number to be generated automatically with the inability to change it? Is it possible to make a username and password for (Manager), even if it is a desktop Edition?

because it is required by ZAKAT condition

You can set automatic numbering in Form Defaults. The ability to edit depends on permissions given to users (in the server and cloud editions).

No. This is a basic aspect of NGSoftware’s business model for distribution of Manager. The desktop edition is single-user, with no user permissions, login, or password protection. It is intended for use on a desktop machine controlled by a single user. If you want more protection, you will need to purchase a server license or subscribe to the cloud edition.

As @Tut explains it is the only leverage @Lubos has to earn money from having developed Manager. In essence, he has been very generous in allowing free use across different platforms of Manager and restricting the earning’s model to the multi-user environments such as Cloud and Server editions. You should be able to protect the computer you installed Manager so that would meet the SA localization requirement when small single-use company. Otherwise, just sign up for cloud or server editions and pay the fee.

For the record, desktop edition has all the features it technically can have. Password protection on desktop edition cannot be properly implemented unless the password is used to encrypt the database. I do not want to go down that road because forgetting your password would equal catastrophic data loss (it’s not possible to break the encryption assuming there is no vendor backdoor).

If you require password, set password on your computer / operating system level. That’s the right way to do.

A post was split to a new topic: How to update

Dear @lubos:
QR code is a basic requirement in the simplified tax invoice during the current period. Unfortunately, in the example shown by the authority (ZATCA) regarding the form of the tax invoice and the simplified tax invoice, some non-mandatory elements have become a basic requirement under local practices.
For example:
1- Tax rate (exist)
2- Tax amount in the line (not exist)
3- Total Discount (not exist) - It is required within Totals.
4- The net invoice after discount (existing), and is currently the “subtotal” that needs modifying the title of the field.
5- Net Amount after discount (not exist). It is required within Totals.
6- Net total including VAT. (exist) It is currently “Total” that needs modifying the title of the field.
7- Customer reference number (not exist) A custom field is used, but it appears at the end of the invoice and is required to appear under the customer data fields.

You can make sure that these elements are necessary by virtue of local practices from all active members of the localization file - Saudi Arabia.

  • Currently the only solution to get the appropriate invoice format is the custom themes, whereas you know the QR code cannot appear correctly.

We hope to help by adding these items to the invoice with the localization file - Saudi Arabia as well as allowing the QR code in the custom themes to appear correctly.

Does the manager program support the second phase, which is linking with the Saudi Zakat and Income Authority?

My understanding was yes via “Extensions” but it was up to the community to write the localisation.

Thank you for your feedback.
I could not find a resolution for this QR code issue using the PDF and Email buttons.
@lubos awaiting your feedback.

Just reminding

@Omnipotent.inc already gave you the answer that support for PDF button has been discontinued for quite a while now. You have to use print to PDF and email the file of needed using your mail package. The PDF is still there as a legacy but does not get any further support such as resolving QR Code printing.
