Sales invoice Qty column name changes (Bug)

Hi @lubos, If no quantity has been entered in the other lines for a sales invoice, the column name changes to the item name.

Something simular happened earlier this year Unit name shown incorrectly as Qty header .I assume it’s a bug

To me this is correct. Why isn’t it correct to you?

When the unit of measure such as uur is the same for all line-items then the unit of measure will show as column title. When they differ the column title will default to Qty.

As you can see this is not what is happening

Yes it is because in the 2nd screenshot there’s no Qty in the 1st item line.

You use “1” as Qty for “iets verkocht” and “10 uur” for “Montage” in the first screenshot. “1” is not equal to “10 uur”. Also 10 uur is a text a no longer a numeral. If in first screenshot you would have used 1 and 10 and where the units of measure for the items “Iets verkocht” and “Montage” where uur then it would have shown as Column uur.

More worrying is that you call the item “Uren”. You should call the items “Iets verkocht” and “montage.” The description could further detail what each of these mean or you leave them empty.

So for example Item should be Montage, when creating the item you should use uur as unit of measure and in description you could add whatever more needs to be known about the montage.

No, Manager adds “uur” itself (unit name) to the Qty.

Manager did not add “uur” after 10, you must have typed that when creating the receipt. Please show the receipt edit screen.

As mentioned you should not use Uren for item name but for example Montage. In the receipt you can enable as you did the quantity and description columns to add more details about the montage.

  1. In screenshot 1 you do not have

This,

Gives this as result,

And this,

Gives this as result,

As you can see Manager adds “uur” itself.

That is because the quanties in two lines have different units of measure - blank/none for the first line and “uur” for the 2nd line

In your first example, there is no quantity in the first line, so Manager puts the unot of measure in the column heading as it assumes all quantities (in this case the single quantity 10) have the same unit of measure
