Requirements of tax law

"Hello everyone,

One of the requirements of tax law is that the accounting software does not allow modification of sales invoices. Is it possible to add this as an option?

Thank you very much."

What tax law?
Can you link to the appropriate documentation?

One of the conditions of the Saudi Arabian General Authority of Zakat and Tax is that the invoice software should prevent modification of invoices after issuance.

You can use the Lock date tool.

Set lock date | Manager

The lock date feature restricts modifications to the invoice amount and transaction date, but it does not prohibit changes to the Description and Reference fields. Many users find this feature helpful, and personally, I appreciate being able to change the payment and receipt status from “pending” to “cleared” even when the lock date is active. However, I think it would be beneficial to include the Reference field in the lock date restriction.

To restrict certain users from editing invoices, you can activate the “create and view” invoice function for them in a version with multiple user access.

As for restricting all types of modification for sales invoices, I recall the developer stating that even if users are restricted from using the edit feature, there must be at least one user with the ability to modify transactions to avoid having a closed system.

Although I am not familiar with Zacat the information by the authorities (see screenshot of PDF page, link to PDF file is in the screenshot) in support of @Mahmoud_Anis request are very clear.

I do not think that a lock date nor restricting users is sufficient. It is also clear that those using e-invoicing following Zacat guidelines need to use Cloud or Server editions as anonymous login is not allowed.

Manager does comply with ability to track (history), but not with closing the invoice completely. Following Zacat one should be able to cancel an invoice and issue a credit note.
