Request for automatic numbering of Sales Orders

Is it possible to add an automatic numbering to sales orders like for example in sales invoice ?

The intent is that you enter a customer’s purchase order number in that field. Like a purchase invoice, the sales order is a way of recording an incoming document, not something you initiate.

Yes i know. But it would be easy for organize the documents
