Request for a Patch to Edit Chart of Accounts Codes

Hello,

I would like to request a patch or feature that allows users to edit the account codes in the Chart of Accounts.

Currently, changing account codes is difficult, especially after creating many accounts and transactions. It would be very helpful if Manager allowed account codes to be edited or provided a tool to renumber the Chart of Accounts safely without affecting existing transactions.

This feature would make it much easier to reorganize the chart of accounts as businesses grow or accounting structures change.

I know that account codes can already be edited individually.

What I’m requesting is a Batch Update option for the Chart of Accounts, similar to the batch operations available in other areas of Manager.

The idea is to export the Chart of Accounts to a spreadsheet, edit multiple account codes in Excel, then paste the updated data back into the Batch Update screen to apply all changes at once.

This would save a lot of time when renumbering or reorganizing hundreds of accounts.

I agree with you 100%. I was migrating a client from QBO to manager and I had to ask claude to create an import tool via API that how I was able to add more accounts as a batch without having to create one by one.
