Question about users

I have a question regarding the possibility of allowing the user of only the clients he created, without using or even viewing other clients.

Hello @Sweey,

The user levels of Manager are two:

1. Administrator

These can see all businesses, have all permissions and can do system wide actions such as:

  • Create and manage business files
  • Create and manage users

2. Restricted user

These only have access to assigned business files and their permissions can vary from none to full access on a business by business basis.

Not saying that that’s the definitive way to run permissions, but this the simple method adopted by manager and it works just like any other method but a bit diffently, in the practical sense.

Your solution would be that these users become restricted users with full access.

The creation and assignment of businesses should be done by someone else with Administrator level.

I know that, but I was inquiring about the possibility of adding this capability to permissions, similar to cash management; that is, each user could be assigned permissions to use specific location, categories, customers, suppliers, divisions etc., just like with cash accounts.

I know :slightly_smiling_face: , you want a separate level in between Adminstrator and Restricted User.

That’s not possible right now, so I offered the best alternative workflow that is possible.

Tbh, I don’t opose the idea but I’m reluctant to add it since there’s already 390 topics in ideas and this being a feature that offers minimal benefit to most users, I don’t see how I can justify adding it there.

Not all hope is lost though, this topic is still open and if you can lay out a convincing case for it, then maybe it could be championed by another moderator or, even better, the developer himself.
