Is there a report or can one create a report which shows the quantiy per item that are on order
I asked this question in March The reply was that it was not possible
has this changed with new updates?
Nothing has changed yet. This is part of the upcoming warehousing module, where you will be able to treat goods on order or reserved for a customer as being in a different “warehouse.”
Right now, purchase orders do not affect value or quantities of inventory. Only purchase invoices or payments do that, and the assumption is that if you bought the item, it is in stock.
Similarly, sales orders only record the receipt of an order from a customer. The sales invoice or receipt triggers adjustment of inventory.
