When adding non-inventory items to a production order you have the option of specifying a Division.
Is this Division the destination of the expense or where the money is coming from to pay the cost?

It is the expense destination. Think about it—there is no money involved nor any payment associated with a production order.
Thanks, that was my thought but wasn’t sure. I am using production orders as production reports in this application due to uncertainty of the amount of product produced.
It is a mistake to use production orders as reports, because that affects your inventory balances.
Depending on exactly what you need to know, there are other ways to get the information.
