Problem in Exported Data in Excel

As heading, when we export the data to excel file, the currency amount display with Currency symbol. But because of this, MS Excel does not identified its as a amount or not detected as Numbers. So because of this if we want to summation the amounts or want to do any mathematical functions then… Excel not allowed. Because Its not numbers.

So please solve this issue and provide update on this.

Manager exports the data you see on screen. So if there is a currency symbol or designation, it exports it.

All you have to do, after pasting copied data into a spreadsheet, is do a global search. Search for the currency symbol and replace all instances with nothing. Then format the column as currency in the spreadsheet.

What is Global Search? I don’t understand… Rupee Symbole not recognize by Excel.
And I Try the Currency Symbole As INR also, but then also its not Recognize. You please check with Indian Rupee Currency symbol.

A global search refers to using the Find and Replace feature of any application that has it, as Excel does. Find whatever symbol or abbreviation shows in the spreadsheet.

Ok Problem Solved with Find & Search Option in Excel. I Replace it with required things. Thanks.

you do not have to use Find & Replace. it is a longer process.

in excel, just click on the column heading to select the whole column and select Number instead of Currency.

I don’t think that will work when there are text characters in the cells, will it? I can’t test right now.

it works for me in excel version 2013.

OK, great. So it is even easier.

Actually Its Not Longer Process…
By click on Find and Replace just one click on replace all… all the Symbol in the sheet replaced.

And Selecting collum as Number not helps in 2007 MS Office versions. in 2013 its worked so its good.:+1::+1::+1:
