Please Help me in a production issue Please

i am in a factory that Build a machine through many days … but they don’t know everything that they are need to build this machine from the beginning so every day they take a lot of things to use in it … My question is … how i can make all these things that taken from my stock through days turn into One machine ? Please help me … try to use a simple statements in English … thanks

You can use a Production Order to specify the components used to manufacture the machine.
You can add the components to the Production Order as they are used

The components are removed from stock and the machine will be added to stock.

I presume that the machine is for sale and not to be used by the business.

If it is to be used by the business, then it becomes a fixed asset

thanks for your respond … but i want to prove the date when items go out from the stock … so like that i should make many Production orders Not only one production order … so with every production order i set one machine … i don’t know if you understand me or no … sorry for My english

Every inventory item on a production order is removed from inventory on the date the production order is issued. You cannot phase production over several days, even if it takes longer to build the finished item.

The best you could do is to edit the date of the production order every time you add something to it. That way, on any given date, your inventory will be correct as to quantity. But you will not be able to reconstruct which items were used on which day.

yes … i wished if there is another solution for my problem … this solution i think it will be hard for me to use it … but thank you Brother for your respond .

You don’t issue out inputs just like that, I believe you have a requisition form or something you use to issue out input for your work. You can capture these details with a custom field.

You can also create multiple production orders for the machine. Each round of production will record the input issued at that time.

thank you for your respond … But multiple production orders means every time i make a production order i will get at least one machine … and this is not true … i am thinking about something … what if i made many production orders through several days and when i finished i can change the machine in production order to 0.1 Not 1 . for example if i had 10 production orders so everyone of them will give me 0.1 machine so i can got 1 Machine at the end … is that fine idea ?

@Abeiku, you gave me an idea.

@Ahmed_Saif, you can, in fact, do what you want. Here is how:

  • Read the Guide: Use production orders for repairs, maintenance, or improvements | Manager. The Guide tells you how to use a production order to modify an existing item. You will do things slightly differently.
  • When you begin production, issue a production order for the parts you use on the first day. But make the quantity for the finished inventory item zero. That will take the items on the bill of materials from your inventory, but will not add anything to the quantity for the finished item.
  • As you use other parts on other days, issue additional production orders. Always enter zero for the quantity of the finished item. The value of the finished item in the Inventory on hand account will continue to increase, but the quantity will not go up.
  • On the day you finish manufacturing, issue the final production order. If parts are used on that day, include them in the final production order. If they are not, leave the bill of materials blank. But indicate a quantity for the finished item. At this point, the quantity for your finished item will go up and the value of that inventory item in Inventory on hand will include all parts you have used to build it, as recorded on all the previous production orders.

@Ahmed_Saif, we posted at the same time. Your idea is almost what I suggested. However, it would result in your inventory quantity being incorrect: 0.1 on day one, 0.3 on day 3, and so forth. By waiting to enter the quantity only with the last production order, your inventory will always be correct.

yeah … Great idea bro … i should try it and i think it will work … but i wish if they can update this program to make it fit for that issues soon … thank you and for all

yeah your idea is great

Job costing will be added in the near future, it will take care of situations like these.

yeah i hope that
