One idea is it possible to get % on national insurance and other taxes on payslip?

For example social insurance (or national insurance) is 12% of the salary instead of input manual numbers

This is already in the ideas category: Automating calculations in Payslips. It’s always a good thought to check before posting suggestions. They’ve usually been thought of before.

Also, don’t overlook the calculator ability within fields: Perform calculations in number fields | Manager. Not quite as convenient as what you suggested, but eliminates outside calculation and transcription.
