Not Show the Numbering Format or numbering commas.
That will not show on the transaction entry forms. Formatting occurs after the transaction is created and displayed.

Sorry but I do not agree. The current system for entering is easier as you can enter any number without adding , and / or . You now only need that for separating decimals. I think this was a change for the better and speeds up data entry. Furthermore all views, tab-displays, reports, etc that you need to view data with are having the formatted numbers as this makes them easier to read. For entry anything that saves time is a pro.

I believe the OP’s intention may be that it appears automatically.
Typing “1000” would be displayed as e.g. “1,000” on the screen. Pressing backspace once would revert it to “100”. Adding another zero on the end would change it to “1,000”. Etc.
Definitely a feature request, rather than a bug though.
Indeed when functioning like that should be fine either way.
