No numbers on my latest backup

There are no figures, numbers on muy latest. backups June 1 and June 2 What is wrong ?

Not sure what you mean - can you be more specific as to what numbers you are talking about

check the screen shot

Show the homescreen screenshot. Also show a complete one as this does not show the business name.

It is not clear also what you mean by June 1 and June 2, etc. Your backups never show in Manager, only in the place you saved them. Backups need to be imported to be available in Manager, but only in case of problems with the current business file.

In the place where I saved the backups on the dates, June 1 and June 2, when I have tried to access the backup from June second, it opens but with $0 against all the headings.

Is this what you mean by Home screen ?

You should show all of window, including the top and bottom

If you look at the P&L column the backup you opened is only for 1 day, i.e. 5 June 2024. Are you sure you opened the correct backup file?

(I suppose it’s conceivable that the backup failed and the file is empty, but I’m not a programmer so could be completely wrong.)

Thanks pau. All the other backups I have done over the years I have been using manager, have been successfull when I open them.
When I open the backup for May 31, it is perfect !
The problems are only with the backups on June 1 and June 2. Strange.

Also, what edition (Server, Desktop, Cloud) and version of Manager are you using?

What Operating System are you using?

Thanks Joe, Desktop edition ? v # 24.3.10.1347
Using a MacBook Air iOs 13.6.6

Look at the size of the backups on 1 and 2 June:

84kb is a fraction of the size of the earlier backup of 8MB. There is almost certainly no information in those backups.

Yes I did notice the different size of the backups. So what do I need to do now?
Do I need to use the May 31 backup, and re-enter the data from June 1 and 2 ? and try saving again ?

Yes

You should also consider upgrading to the current version of Manager 24.6.4.1621

I am not sure that all your backups should be in the list, unless you have imported the business from the backup file for some reason

You should store the backups somewhere safer than on your Mac - if, or rather when, you have a hard disk problem you will possibly lose your business data file AND all your backups

I do backup every am onto a hard disk.
Every time I upgrade any app I have difficulty coping with all the changes. I upgrades only a few months ago.
Regarding that long list of backups, I normally only keep the last 2 of every month.
I have fried removing all the old ones, but had trouble doing that.m I’ll try again…

In the version I am using there are a lot of item I don’ need but I don’t know how to remove them without causing a crash !

What do you mean by “a lot of item”

You can disable any tabs that you don’t use as long as there are no transactions entered

When you backup to a hard disk, what hard disk do you mean?

External hard disk is my backup disk. Do you need the brand ?
Re the items I am referring to, I will forward a copy of an example in about 2 minutes.
