New accounts in Chart of Accounts are not on drop-down list

Hello,
I am new to Manager. I created one bank account, one cash account. I made a chart of accounts, but those categories are not appearing in the drop-down list when I want to enter transactions into Bank and Cash. I do see them in the P&L in summary. What should I do?

under what group did you create the new accounts?
can you paste a screenshot of your chart of accounts?
what accounts are not appearing? only relevant accounts will appear in all modules of Manager.

Could you also provide a screenshot of the page when you’re attempting to enter a transaction? It’s not clear if you clicked ‘Receive Money’, ‘Send Money’ or ‘Transfer money’?

If you clicked on Transfer money then the accounts will not show up. However, they should appear if you selected either of the other two options.

There is a problem with sending a screenshot. I am trying to set this up for our art club on a Mac that isn’t mine and which I am not familiar with, so I am doing the question via my pc, which means I don’t know how to take a screen shot on the Mac.
I took photos, I am hoping you can see the Memberships and SSBBAA2017 accounts are showing up in the list of accounts, but not in the drop down list in the Banking.

did you set a control account for the created accounts? if yes, edit and uncheck it.

It appears that you have created those “accounts” as New Group instead of New Account - note that they are in bold (blacker) print similar to Income and Less Expenses.

just click the edit button beside the account and you will then find it at the bottom.
also, try posting a screenshot of the account in edit view.
to take a screenshot of your entire screen
Press Shift-Command (⌘)-3.
Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

P&L accounts can’t be control accounts

@hvb24 like @Brucanna said you have created the new account as a group under the existing group. you should delete it and create a New Account

Thanks so much, I tried deleting Membership and re-entering it as a New Account and that is appearing nicely in my drop down list.
