Multi-user invoicing at the same time

We are two users doing invoicing at the same time on the program, we noticed that we have duplicated numbers on our invoicing and its very time consuming to manually change the invoice nrs as we do have a deadline to meet. Is there possible a setting that can be change as I do not think we are the only multiple users on the program.

In previous versions, when you clicked New Sales Invoice button, the invoice number was assigned to sales invoice before it was actually saved.
