Manager user manual

Good day, i am totally new to manager,i urgently need a complete user manual, have experience in accounting, its difficult to read the guides one by one…

Please read the Guides Section

https://www.manager.io/guides

Manager is not that complicated… still if you need any guidance, reading the guides is the only option at present… there is no separate manual available… also you can find your answers by searching in the forum…

The best way to learn how to use Manager is to create a dummy company account and just play with the settings and each transaction. Thats how I learnt to use Manager. A guide is very helpful, but sitting and experimenting with quotes, orders, invoices etc is the way to get a good start.

I concur, I am in the same boat as you. I find it hard reading online material, I much prefer a single manual (I know I waste a lot of paper… I’ll go to hell for that—but at least I recycle!).

I’m with @dalacor, the best way to do it is to just try something and see how it goes. I do often just try it in the main accounting file and I have on occasion had to revert to a backup (I make daily, sometimes twice daily backups!), but when I want to learn something REALLY new, I do one of two things:

  1. try and find what you want in the guides, and then create a dummy company and give it a go. I have one pseudo company file that I go to (save it and make a copy when you do the next experiment, in case you REALLY mess it up). I experiment and see if it works the way I need or try something else. These forums and the guides have HEAPS of examples. If all else fails, I…
  2. Explain my situation in these forums. There are a lot of GREAT users here and I have on several occasions been given some very convoluted advice, but advice that was perfect for my needs. (I fear the day I have to explain some of these to someone else!)

Good luck and welcome to manager!

you asked for it, @vickiemwandambo and @d3mad, and i have made an effort in this regard.
the PDF i am posting here has all the guides as on 22 Aug 2017, but some of the newer guides have missing pictures.
hope this is helpful.

Users should not post their own versions of Guides, even when taken directly from the web site. That is a copyright violation and contradicts the rules of the forum. Guides are constantly being updated and edited.

If you have found such problems, please post them on the forum so they can be corrected.

ok, i would keep that in mind in the future.
No, i mean the pdf that i had posted had pictures missing, the Manager website is, should and will continue to be the go to destination.
