i have not done any bookwork for ages but now the program crashes everytime i try to start it.

Try to uninstall Manager and then install the latest version.
If it doesn’t fix the issue, you will need to launch ManagerServer.exe in Manager installation directory and see if you get any error there.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no good.will try managerserver.exe after work
You have not said which version of manager you are using or operating system.

using windows 7
unsure of what version as i just uninstalled it.
was installed september last year
You might be on an older version
it used to work fine.
windows is up to date but maybe a bad update is not out of the question for windows.
reinstalled new version of manager also but same error
@paul3, launch ManagerServer.exe in Manager installation directory to see what happens.
tried that
it brought up dos screen.
ManagerServer.exe is operating normally so who knows why ManagerDesktop.exe is crashing. It shouldn’t be but it seems like the issue is outside of Manager code.
Anyway, if you are desperate to access Manager on that computer, you can let ManagerServer.exe run and in your web-browser navigate to http://localhost:8080
