Manager doesn't accept the "<" sign as text

In the Netherlands it is quite usual to spilt the balance of bank loans into a part longer than one year and a part shorter than a year. A standard notation is Bank Loans > 1 year and Bank Loans < 1 year
Manager accepts the “>” sign as text but not the “<” sign. You can enter the “<” sign, but it doesn’t store this as text.

I think it is interpreting it as the beginning of an HTML tag. But when no complete tag appears, it ignores it.

Yeah, it’s unfortunate that angle brackets are used for HTML tags too.

One workaround is to write < when you mean <

and > when you mean >

It’s a pity, but fortunately there is a “workaround”.
Thanks guys.
