I was just creating a journal entry and have noticed that there seems to be no linkage of the Qty field to the either the Credit or Debit fields. I was attempting to transfer funds from a customers credit to 3 different line items. First I entered the individual credit fields which totalled correctly and when I tried to add 3 to each Qty the total did not adjust. I then added a 0 Qty for the debit and the total did not alter, nor did it if i entered any other positive number eg 2 or 3. My screenshot.
Quantity is used in the context when you are debiting or crediting inventory or investment quantities. I guess the option to show Qty column should be hidden if you are not adjusting inventory or investments.
